Tender Alert Scheme - Are you in the loop?

One of our members, Oldham Brothers, has scooped a lucrative contract thanks to KMBC’s scheme of Tender Alerts.

The Business and Liaison and Investment team are keen to send out tender alerts and information to Knowsley based businesses.  They will also provide invaluable information and support including grant funding and property searches. 

The tender which Oldham Brothers won means that they have secured a deal to handle all the recycling needs of Knowsley Housing Trust.  Carl Woods, KHT’s transport manager, said: “Oldham Brothers ticked all the boxes in terms of value for money, location, environmental policies and professionalism.

Paul Roberts, Development Manager for Oldham Brothers (who also attended Knowsley Chamber’s recent tender training) says “The tender alert worked out brilliantly for us.

“We wouldn’t have known that KHT were looking for someone so we want to say a big thank you to the business liaison team.  “This contract is really valuable to us and has secured several jobs.

“Almost everyone we employ is from Knowsley and the recyclable waste will all go to local outlets so this is good news for the borough as a whole.”

Oldham Brothers is a family run firm that was set up 40 years ago, and undertake a wide variety of services including demolition, skip hire, and waste disposal.
