Merseyside Women of the Year Awards 2010

The Liverpool Daily Post Women of the Year Awards were held at the Hilton Hotel, Liverpool on Friday 2 July 2010. With over 320 guests attending, the event celebrated Merseyside’s most inspiring women.

Knowsley’s Suzanne Scott from Sandfield Natural Play Centre, Whiston, won the Entrepreneur Award Suzanne said "It was an amazing experience to win this award”

Lesley Martin-Wright, Chief Executive of the Chamber also presented the “Women’s Group” award to The Evergreens. The Evergreens are a group of retired ladies from across Merseyside who have a passion for acting and as volunteers visit community groups for the elderly and perform plays about the dangers of bogus callers. The Evergreens were nominated by Merseyside Police for the valuable work they do within the community.
