Warmer Heating Ltd, a Knowsley based company, has been honoured for its commitment to green technology by winning the Best Environmentally Friendly Company title at the Grant Aided Heating Installers’ Network (GAIN) awards.

Warmer was praised for its work with social landlords and charities to help tenants and homeowners cut their fuel bills. It works with the Government’s Warm Front scheme, which offers grants to low-income families to fund improvements to their central heating systems.

Warmer Heating’s commercial director Bryan Glendinning said: “Green technology is the future, and we are keen to reflect our commitment to the environment from every last sheet of recycled paper in the office to the photovoltaic panels we’ll install on your roof.

“Fuel poverty is increasingly an important issue, and is likely to become more so in the next 12 months.

“Organisations such as GAIN do so much to protect those who need our help most and we are proud to have been recognised by them.”

Earlier this year, Warmer won a National Energy Action Footprint Award for its work installing solar panels and heat pumps at homes in Tyneside

Warmer Heating is a member of Knowsley Chamber of Commerce.
